Work Summaries:
Product Manager, Medical Network, Optum, Harrisburg, PA (May 2022)
As a Product Manager in the Medical Network (MN) division at Optum I work primarily with our MN application programming interfaces (APIs) and look for opportunities to enhance the API developer experience and identify new strategies for engaging with our partner developers and ensuring their success. My work involves interacting with customers/partners, SMEs, internal stakeholders and other product managers to gain insight, analysis, drive solutions, and champion our APIs within the marketplace. I collaborate closely with sales, account management, engineering, and marketing to educate customers on product offerings and aid customer on-boarding. I also perform solution consulting on these particular APIs to assist with Sales and Account Management with prospective and newly onboarded customers.
Consultant and Product Owner, Business Information Management, Medicaid Enrollment Ancillary, Aetna Better Health, CVS Health, Harrisburg, PA (March 2020 – April 2022)
My role as Product Owner covered all Agile Dev/Ops change requests within my main area of Medicaid Enrollment as well as pharmacy related initiatives. I was regularly the single point of contact and bridge between health plan stakeholders and two Development/Operations teams. I had been involved with the design, testing, and enhancement of information products including technical aspects and product development support to external and internal customers. I took on the role as leader and business technical expert with the planning, development, user acceptance testing, and validation of detail test plans and strategies.
Program Coordinator-Inclusive Strategic Initiatives and Advocacy in the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Penn State Health/Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey, PA (June 2017 – April 2019)
The scope of my responsibilities covered three main areas; the College of Medicine, Penn State Health, and the overall initiatives and goals of the health system, with respect to diversity and inclusion. I was tasked with planning, implementation, and logistical coordination of programming, projects, and marketing to advance the goals of the office as laid out by our strategic plan. I coordinated the activities and initiatives of six (6) employee and ten (10) student resource groups. I was their administrator and liaison to the office and maintained their budgets, advocated for their initiatives, and oversaw the execution of their activities. I created valuable networks of representatives from executive management, students, academic and healthcare leaders, and staff. When I started, the office had a weekly newsletter that was in dire need of redesign and edit. I revamped and acquired control over the creation, editing, and research for the newsletter and grew its membership to over 4000 subscribers. A significant amount of my time was dedicated to facilitating, creating, and updating training and orientation presentations, and at times, I ran workshops and introductory courses.
